Journey to Cebu Dobe Beach Resort
April 9, 2024, was a holiday to remember! The excitement was evident as everyone around me buzzed with anticipation for the refreshing resort. People were packing their essentials, especially food, and I couldn't wait to reach Cebu Dobe Beach Resort. However, I had to patiently wait for my aunt's transportation before we could set off.
Once they arrived, we quickly loaded our belongings into the open cab. The engine roared to life, and we set out on our journey from our residence in DAS (Don Andres Soriano), Toledo City, to Sangi, Toledo City. The drive took approximately 30 minutes. We then turned left onto Diosdado Macapagal Highway and reached Barangay Bato, Toledo City, after another 20 minutes. About a hundred meters past Lolayah Store, we turned right onto a road in Barangay. After a seven-minute drive, we paid 10 pesos to cross a private property and finally arrived at the resort we had been eagerly anticipating. We paid an entrance fee of 100 pesos each for access to the swimming pool, a cozy cottage, and breathtaking views of the vast ocean stretching out before us.
If you're planning a trip on your own or with friends and don't have your own transportation, you can easily take a bus. The bus fare is 30 pesos, but students receive a 17% discount, paying just 25 pesos for the ride from DAS to Sangi, Toledo City. If you want to go directly to Barangay Bato, Toledo City, you can simply skip getting off at Sangi and pay 40 pesos for the entire journey. Once you reach Barangay Bato, hop on a tricycle for a short ride to the entrance of Cebu Dobe Beach Resort (it's only 10 pesos). And then, of course, it's time to relax and enjoy the cool pool and the refreshing seawater. But don't forget to pay the entrance fee! 😉
